NCAC Honors local Trauma Counseling Services Director 04/10
The National Children's Advocacy Center (NCAC) recently presented the Outstanding Service Award in Mental Health to Trauma Counseling Services Director, Ann Gaulin, M.S.,LMFT. The honor came at the 26th. National Symposium on Child Abuse in Huntsville, Alabama.
Outstanding Service Award
NCAC Director, Chris Newlin cited Ann's work in establishing the Children's Alliance Center of Berks County, PA in 2004. Her efforts created support from Law Enforcement, Social Services, and others for the new advocacy program. Newlin said,"Thanks to Ann, the Berks and other communities are more aware of and better able to meet the need for trauma work."

Ann Gaulin presented a workshop on "Trauma: Assessment Through Treat-ment" focusing on symptom presentations of various populations including children and cognitive challenged survivors of traumatizing abuse.
